Blue light is not generally associated with causing any kind of eye disease. Unlike ultraviolet light which damages the retina and can cause macular generation and cataracts the blue part of the light spectrum has never been conclusively shown to cause actual damage to the eyes. So blue light blocking gasses will not help you avoid or prevent cataracts or macular denigration. Wear good quality sun glasses for this when going outside.
